The WAY to a “SEASONED WOMAN’S HEART”!!!!

Cupid is getting set for his annual shooting spree, his arrows are loaded, his box of delicious Godiva Chocolates packed in his satchel along with delicately, scented roses in a multitude of colors, of course he leaves the delivery of the huge arrangement, meaning 1/2 dozen or a dozen to the Teleflora folks, they have to earn a living too you know.

In my seasoned, humble opinion, I don’t think just one day should be set aside to remember the “love in your life”, everyday should be ”sprinkled” with sweetness &  kind little post it notes in unexpected places, a love note in your sweeties lunch ( be sure and use plastic wrap if you put it inside the sandwich), perhaps a weekly treat of a steamy bubble bath with candles and soft romantic music, fresh sheets and linens often, a piece of a chocolate mint on his/her pillow, or perhaps a lovely back and shoulder rub often during the week….touch relieves stress and fires those endorphins you know.

Perhaps some time curled near one another reading the chapters of a romance novel or an intriguing mystery by your favorite author. For those who crave activity, perhaps a walk in a nearby park, window shopping on the main street of your hometown with a stop at  an ice cream shoppe to share a banana split, sounds heavenly doesn’t it? Or maybe a Saturday of serving the love in your life “breakfast in bed”, eating desert first I might encourage, it increases your appetite!

Ahhhhhhh, the romance of it all. The sweet and tender touches and caresses. The unexpected kiss on your neck while you are washing the dishes, maybe a touch to the touche would be a nice thing. Holding hands when walking next to your lady, not in front of her or behind her, beside her. Attending a local church service on Sunday giving praise to the Creator who made both of you and connected the two of you out of the blue perhaps. Remembering and laughing about the first times you met, kissed, got lost, took a trip, peed your pants in hysterical laughter, what things you are afraid of and what you like and don’t like about this world….deep stirring conversations that ignite the fire of passion for life that smolders underneath in all of us…..Sharing and caring.

And definitely the two most lovely and romantic things a man could do for me is to remember: “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away” and the most important ALWAYS, ALWAYS KISS ME GOODNITE!!!!!

For all of you searching the path of companionship and love whether in the dating arena with multiple partners and friends or whether yearning for a lifetime committment, the most romantic things you can do for the other is to listen to what the person is saying, touch and hold and hug them a bunch and let those 3 little words with such an impact roll off your tongue at the most unexpected moments, I love you!

Well, today is the day that  Cupid may dart by my little condo….and each year I hope he shoots an arrow into that mystery man meant just for me and he will appear on my doorstep with twinkling eyes and a wide, beautiful smile and arms wide open to pull me close and say, ….”well here you are, I have been searching for you….”

Ah…..the pricelessness of dreams. The beauty of love. The precious healing powers of touch. Perhaps instead of seeking for myself, I should look for someone in the world that needs a kind word, a hug, or a smile and give one of mine away as I greet them with a ….”HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!”
